The Brojangles
A long time coming
The Brojangles emerged 23 years ago from the Gold Coast of Australia when Chris Baumann, aged 16, first picked up a guitar and started writing infectious pop punk anthems that tore through the boutique audiences that were lucky enough to hear them (essentially Chris’ mates before a night out). Realising this was a good chance to hang out more with his hero, younger (but much taller) brother Tim instantly taught himself cello and high harmonies and the signature Brojangles sound was born.
At 19, Chris took his cricket bat and guitar to England where he wowed (yep we're going with with wowed) the post cricket party scenes with his tunes and added Mat (head cheerleader) and Mat's sister Sos (future wife of Chris and merch extraordinaire) to the line up. Another decade on, they came upon virtuoso guitarist/producer Dan and persuaded him to very 'patiently' help develop their sound.
Now! After nearly two and a half decades, 5 babies and an enforced period of lockdown-based self production education spanning two hemispheres, The Brojangles are ready to take the world by storm with their huge back catalogue of Lounge Room Bangers!
The Brojangles tunes are available in all the usual streaming places and other Brojangles stuff is occasionally found in all the usual social media places @Thebrojangles.
Listen, like and share the music and videos because there's plenty more in the pipeline. Slouchy Dad Punk has never tasted this good so take a big bite while you can.
